OK... this is not your average question about the speed limiter and the 5th position sensor. So please don't flame me bout doing a search.

Thanks.

I am doing a auto to manual swap... and I am in the process of doing the electrical system.

I know that in a factory manual 240sx.. unpluging the harness from the tranny and cutting the wiring in the ECU will disable the speed limiter.

Well... what if I didn't wire the 5th position sensor in my swap. That should have the same effect, correct?

Thanks guys.

Well unless you are changing ECU's it shouldnt even be an issue because auto 240's dont have a speed cut.

jay, if you have a S13 then you can run your auto ecu and not even worry about the 5 th gear sensor. If you are doing your swap on a S14 then your gonna have to get the 5 speed ecu otherwise it will throw a code because OBDII is a lot pickier.
