i mean, nissan and honda are both threaded, screw on type shifters, right? so, do honda knobs fit, or is the thread different, or what? there's this one billet knob that says it's honda/acura only that i really want to buy so i can get it at the same time as my OBX shifter... it's a billet knob with an indiglo shift pattern. it looks like the pattern's etched in the metal, but it lights up blue. coooool....

The threasts are different. If I'n not mistaken, but again, I wouldn't bet my lif on it but I'm pretty sure the Honda threater is larger in diamter so if it's possible to find an adapter from honda to nissan, you should be alright.

good luck!

well..if you're serious. go borrow a friends stock shift knob..try to screw it on. I believe they are difference threads, that's what the shops tell me

also, some shift knobs are screw on, but also generic...you put a hollow plastic tube that you screw on to the shifter, and because it's plastic, it threads as you screw it on.

companies like Razo use this technique.

They will fit, I have the Integra GS-R knob that I had in my B20 powered Hatchback in my S13 now. It will sit a bit higher than the stock knob, but it fits.

I don't recommend this though, the Honda knobs are lighter than the Nissan one is, so your shifting my get a bit "sloppier" and harsher. The weight of the Nissan knob will dampen out this harshness.

Yeah, 240extreme is right. They do have plastic adapters that fit inside. I actually have a Razo shift knob. I don't know if this will work with the one you want but Razo does make good shift knobs

I believe so. any that start rattling after 15-20k miles...that's bad...I have a friend who has a 99 SI...and that shift knob has rattled for as long as I can remember...he's just too cheap to fix it...rather buy blue headlights and stuff lol

plus, some just look cheap. I have a Razo...and yeah...it doesn't look like a good quality racing knob, like Toms/Nismo/Mugen/TRD etc.....but it still doesn't look as bad as a lot of them out there.

well, i put my friend's 'teg base model knob on my stick today. goes on fine. and wow... this knob is cool, i'm not going to buy a stupid billet lightup shifter anymore. i just wanted that one b/c i don't like the 240's knob and b/c it looks kinda cool at night... but this integra knob fits in my hand perfectly, feels great shifting... i'm thinking about going up to the honda dealer and buying a new one. might still just go with a nismo leather one though. not sure yet....

Lord yes, it's possible to make a bad shift knob... I have this ractive right now that looked and felt great, for a month... The rubbery covering is all but worn off now, the damn screws shake loose once a week and it;s no longer as pretty to me, I've only had it 4 months now. I will be getting a MoMo knob when I get my B&M in a coupla weeks.

lol

that's exactly what I'm talking about Philip.

I tell people to stay away from any of the "R" products....WeaponR, ractiv, etc. Also, I've never liked the look/quality of matrix stuff either...I mean, they don't even try to look non-plastic.

I have a Razo on mine.....it's okay, not cheap and not expensive. If anyone saw a good expensive shift knob...they'd know the difference between those and the cheap brands. A friend of mine got a Tom's carbon fiber (real) knob off of ebay...that thing looked nice!
