HKS doesn't make a dual piping exhaust. but I've had the N1 single, and I currently have the Hiper (hi-power) exhaust...it's basically the same design as the N1 single, except it's 2-piece instead of one long-a$$ piping like the N1. Sound is somewhat similar...quieter though.

if you want to stay NA and like the N1 single look...the Hiper is a good way to go.

as far as the dual vs N1/Hiper...I've heard the dual is a little louder, but supposedly it's better...don't know...also, people have had problems with the dual pipes hitting an aftermarket sway bar.

*edit* sorry, I was typing while you posted LOL
anyways...I'm not sure if that's a HKS exhaust with the dual piping...see if you can find that exhaust here..

Ehh...well, Dual N1 and HKS Sport cat-back are two completely different types of exhaust. Dual N1 is straight through, mainly for turbo cars...that translates to quite loud on N/A cars. HKS Sport is probably going to sound more like a Greddy PE or so. You're also not going to lose as much back pressure with the HKS as you would with the Dual N1. Grant used to have a HKS Sport on his car...ya might PM him.

Hey I had this exhaust on my car, still do but not for long. It would sound ok, except the pipe is all rusted through and sounds like shit most the time Uprgrading to a HKS Super Dragger II soon. I think that's a really sweet looking exhaust. I'd consider getting it if they made it for the S14.

yeah that is a HKS tip. they do make it for the S14. but personally i like the single tip with large canister behind it. liket he HKS super dragger (on my car) and the Greddy PE. i know that exhaust is on this web site. like in the movie clip parts. i have seen it before so look for it and check it out.

I like the dual exhaust action on the HKS, my friend found a really cheap link (CHECK THIS OUT) And I was wondering if it was the full catback system with the muffler and everything... anybody know?

HKS at one point made a Dual Dragger Exhaust (discontinued). It was on the Turbo S14 that Mark had.

That is the HKS Super Sport exhaust. I had it on my 91 R.I.P.
basically its the closest exhaust to stock that gives a performance increase and sounds good.
It also is no longer manufactured which is why you may not have been able to find it on their website

That thing looks GREAT!! I like it! I'm all for the stock-look but with power gains. When I'm done with my car (which I probably never will be) the only visible, obvious mods will be rims and lowering. all those posers ('poseurs' if you want to be one yourself) who flock (unknowingly) to the hills won't know what hit them! (And I don't mean literally&#33

...aaaannnyywaaaayyyyy that was my imagination going off again.

What size is the piping on that exhaust? If it's 70mm or larger I'd love to put it on my to-be SR20DET!

kid -

You will like the exhaust. I had it on my '92. It is very easy to install. The stock look is cool and you will get a few extra ponies. The engine revved smoother and quicker. The noise level is low compared to APEXi , but when you really get on it you will hear a great sound. Not high pitched at all. The thing I liked about the sport HKS is that you can take the car on the interstate and not have that constant booming sound that some exhausts give off.

There is one thing I would do to avoid possible rust problems that some people have. This is obviously not a stainless steel exhaust so when rocks / sand / salt and water break through the aluminized paint, there WILL be rust. The key is to watch for it and fix it when it happens. I would actually remove my exhaut every 6 months and inspect for problems. If there were any,I would sand them down and repaint them with high temp silver engine paint. It worked like a charm. I never had a problem with the exhaust rusting through. I know it sounds like some work, but spending that much $$$ on an exhaust was worth it to me. I actaully ended up selling the exhaust for $75 less than I paid after 3 years of use. It looked like new.

You made a good choice.

the exhaust that I have HERE , its the hks sport, is this the dual (because it says the picture is not accurate), and is that the full catback system with the muffler, and everything, and is that a good price?

as of right now my 93 240sx is all stock, but I plan to change that with the exhaust and new cold air intake soon. Im wondering..... Is the HKS sport better for me over the n1, because I have been hearing that the n1 is only good for turbo cars.... How does the HKS sport/R2 compare?

if you want to keep the stock look, (maybe you want a sleeper), the sport looks like a nice fit. The N1 isn't "good" for NA because of the size....it's fairly big. 90mm....almost 4 inches.....but it is a turbo muffler...
If you like the N1 look, take a look at the HKS Hiper, it's basically a N1, (very similar design), yet it comes in turbo and NA version...90 and 60mm respectively. So if you like the N1 design, and are keeping your car NA...the Hiper is a nice fit, there's also the 5zigen Fireball too if you like the N1 style, which also comes in NA sizing.

judging by the HKS website, it looks like the sport comes in single and dual tip..I think that might be what the R2 stands for...dual tip.

how does the sport compare to the N1? I'd bet the HKS sport is better for us NA guys, it'll also be quieter...probably MUCH quieter since it's not a straight through..

what does NA stand for? I dont want to keep the stock look, I just want the best exhaust for my 240 in the 500ish price range.

is the HKS or the n1 dual best for what im looking for? (btw: I don't plan on getting a turbo any time soon)

NA is naturally aspirated, as opposed to turbo, which is FI (forced induction)

Right on, it's too bad the two good stock looking mufflers for the s13 are so hard to come by (Borla and HKS Sport). I despise the look and sound of canister mufflers, will probably have to get a custom piped exhaust with some slick muffler on it when I have the money for that sort of thing. . .

for my non-turbo 240, which exhaust would it be more smart to get, the n1 dual, or the HKS sport/R2? I don't mind a stock look or a n1 look.... I just want to know which one would gimme the best performance increase?

anyone know any good turbo sized mufflers that are stock looking? dual tip preferable... i just want a more sleeper look and i don't prefer the look of the N1's...

I like your thinking
uhh if by turbo exhaust u mean 3" inlet, than no. Never found a single dual tipped one that i would like.
On the other hand, i found a great stock looking muffler for my 240sx with a 2.5" inlet. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymot....9064716. Yeah, it doesn't have a brand name and it's made kinda cheap, but at least it looks decent. The inner diameter is 2.4" each tip. One of them is lieing in my basement, and it looks almost like the stock muffler with the SE tips. And if the 2.5" piping worries ya cuz you wonna get a turbo later, here are 3 things that should take care of the small inlet: a. at low psi you aren't pushing more than 2.5" can handle. b. You can always run an open wastegate. 3. boosteds14 was runnning 2.5" fireball on his ~400hp 240.
