18's will fit, but they are going to slow you down quite a bit, not to mention punch a hole in your wallet. I'm planning on 16's or 17's I really want 16's, but I don't know if I want to get them in case I do a brake upgrade.

As far as width goes, I believe it's 10" rear, and 9" up front.

Why do 15's go faster than 18's? Here's the reason.

In a first semester calculus-based physics class, you learn that a bowling ball will ALWAYS roll down a hill faster than a basketball. ####, a foam nerf ball will roll down a hill faster in a vacuum (environment with no air friction). The reason is a bit simple.

For a basketball to roll around once, all it's mass has to roll all the way around the outside of the ball.

A bowling ball has much of it's mass towards the center. The mass at the center only has to roll around a little bit, while the mass at the outside also must roll all the way around the ball.

The difference is, ALL the basketball's mass must roll ALL the way around, where only a LITTLE bit of the bowling ball's mass rolls ALL the way around.

Basically, the rule is the more mass concentrated around the center of a round object, the faster it accererates down a hill.

Vica Versa, the more mass concentrated at the outside, the slower it'll accelerate since it has to move ALL it's mass a long way.

Now take this to tires. 15 inches have move mass in the center, a lot of air around the outside.

18 inches has a LOT more mass close to the outside, and that mass towards the outside has to move farther to roll around once. So to get the same forward speed as the 15 inches, the 18 inches needs more force to get the mass on the outside accelerating as fast as the 15 inches.

I hope that makes sense (Though I know it's a bit lengthy). If you have more questions, need something cleared up, post a response!

the simplified answer is:
unless you spend a ton of $$$, your 18s will be heavy as ####.  good luck finding 18s under 22 lbs.  if you do, theyll be 500 per wheel.  15s, no problems.  also, tires for 18s cost twice as much as tires for 17s.

so, if you want big wheels, max out at 17s.
