Just wondering what each engine gets as far as gas mileage? I'd like to think that a turbo would give you better gas mileage...right?.....even in a V6 RB. What do you guys think?

Yeah, a turbo is definately going to give you worse mileage. Think of it this way, that turbo is forcing more air into the engine, in turn making more gas flow into the engine to keep up the mixture. That's what gives the engine more power.

the whole purpose of a turbo in the first place was to SAVE on gas mileage, by re-using the exhaust fumes, but these days all the car manufacturers are bent on having more horsepower, and they are using the turbo on its performance side... ABOUT #### TIME!!!!! hehe
so in these times no, the turbo is not used for saving gas... unless its the diesel turbo's |

turbo means more air input into the engine, which means more fuel used. a turbo itself wont give you any better gas milage, perhaps proper tuning will
rb engines are INLINE 6, not V-6. the rb20 wont use any more gas milage in stock form than the SR will, the rb25 might, but i think it uses the same size injectors so it probably shouldnt be too bad though gas milage wont really be too bad in the stock form of any of these engines, though |
