Where are the s14's??
i dont know about you guys but the one thing i've started to notice in racing venue's are the lack of s14's. Lots of s13's and of course s15's. But rarely do you ever see a fully prepped s14 for drifting or time attack.
Anyone able to give a firm answer to this. Is the there something about them that makes them less of a car to build for racing or drifting? |

My only guess is s13's are cheap and s15's are new
s14's are in between. I myself enjoy s14's. I don't really see this as a problem. Maybe it's just a coincidence in your area.

no no, not what i'm talking about. not on a club level or personal level. I mean PRO level. Full out race cars. none in D1, none in Super Taikyu (sp?), none in Super GT. etc. why?

Yeah, not sure there is an explanation for it, but i personaly see more S13's at the track. Its a runing joke with the Zilvia guys that hit the track with me. Im the only S14 in the group.
But interesting enough, i recently saw a drift episode on speed channel and it was entirely S14/S15's. Not a single S13 to be found. My only guess is that older = cheaper, and S13 parts a cheaper. |

S13's = cheaper and been around longer so people have come up with more aftermarket support for them.
S15's = straight sex. Fuck Nissan for not bringing it over the States. |

Uhmm, they are very popular in Australia and Japan. Just do a search. Tokyo Auto Salon always has them as display cars...Just have to look.

You can get S13 parts at junkyards when you hit that wall with a late initiation or run off track and bend up a LCA.
With an S14, you're usually pretty fucked in those scenarios. |

S13's are cheap and easy to make slide.
S15's being the newest has the best technology and is the best candidate for time attack. Therefore, theres no big reason to tune an S14 except just for body styling. Its like a middle sibling that doesnt have anything truly unique |

Only reason to use an S15 is the rear subframe and that they're newer. Guess I should just part out and junk my car then... Personally I love the styling of the zenki 14. It's not all, "look at me, I'm a sports car" |

Hmmm, Maybe, just maybe you should take his advice? But at any rate... it is amazing what you can learn if you take the time to research it a little instead of asking everyone to hand feed it to you.

This whole thread is just an excuse for you to flame, and you MUST have started it knowing so. I can't even fathom what your hardon is for S14s, but for pete's sake, get a life and get over it. 14s are great chassis, nothing wrong with them. Honestly I found it easier to drift an S14 on springs and shocks, VLSD and R33 GT-R wheels than I did my own S13 with coilovers, swaybars, 2-way and R32 GT-Rs. Their chassis are stiffer than S13, you can reduce the weight in them easily. They're fine, and awesome in their own right. Keiichi used to campaign a zenki way back when. I'm closing your thread. You're only being argumentative and pig-headed, and refusing to listen to ANYONE. Love, Kevin
