i'm just wondering if its that same as a 92 or will i have to modify it.
i'm buying a new s13 and its a 89 will my 92 harness (SR modified) will be the same so it could be a quick swap.

i'm talking about the engine harness

Are you talking about the interior harness or the Engine harness?

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. 89 SOHC harness stock and 92 DOHC harness = not the same.

Your best bet is to redo the harness for the SR.

Let me get this right - you had your SR in an 89 chassis and now want to put it in a 92 chassis and are wondering if the SR harness will match up. From memory it should be nearly identical.

Only the dash plug is different. Any harness modified for an S13 chassis will plug in everywhere except the dash, which is just a few wires to repin anyway.

what i meant is that i have a '92 and wondering 92 would fit to the 89 without any problems. but as what you guys as telling me. i might as well redo the 89 harness so that i can transfer the SR moded 92 to the 89

If you are willing to repin the F1 to M53 plug in the 89 harness to work in the 92 plugs....there is not much modification you need to do.

I said your best bet was to redo the harness because you end up knowing the condition of the wiring and its circuits prior to installing it.
