Redtop o2 sensor

okay so i have a ca18det w/ a redtop dump pipe, and the hell if i wanna pay +100 for a 2 sensor, i read in the srdo guide that you can use a 280zx o2 sensor for the redtops, anyone every use one for there replacement on the sr20s? and is there any links to installing them because I'm looking at some on ebay and they say there one wire and i thought that our o2 sensors had 3 wires

you want to use a sensor that is specific for the CA, so try to get one for a 88 pulsar with CA18de. The sensor wont tread in, because the two threads are different sizes. so you have to get this guy..

oh the problem was that I have a redtop dump pipe and my ca18det's o2 sensor is larger then the redtops hole, like i have the one on the right in this pic and i need something like the one on the left http://storesense.megawebservers.com...ensor_full.jpg ... the biggest problem is i'm broke for a few weeks till i start my new job and I NEED a car, if I were to run the car w/o an o2 sensor it'll only fuck up my gas mileage right?

are you saying that the ca18de uses a thin o2 sensor too?

Just so you know, you can get that part from Megan Racing for $15 shipped, rather than $20 plus shipping from Enjuku. They don't have it on their website, but if you call and ask for it, they'll send you one.

I wouldn't buy that part. For one thing, the correct replacement O2 sensors for the Z31 and Z32 300ZXs are *not* the same part. An 87 300ZX (Z31) uses a skinny sensor, while a 95 300ZX (Z32) uses a fatty. So who knows if that Beck-Arnley generic crapshoot part will even fit your car.

O2 sensors cost money. Just the way it is If you want your car to run the way it's supposed to, you need the right sensors, and in this case, the right sensor is $75.
