I had an Idea once I never experimented with but alot of people were I live use air bags, I was going to take there compresser put a regulator/ selenoid on it and use a nitrous switch to inject the air through my intake!!!! Never seen it tried.....

I think you might be describing a Greddy type s with the optional horn - rarely seen, one of my friends has one, but went back to NA for smog purposes, I wonder if he would see it to me.

i love my compressor surge but if you really want that same sound as that supra you gotta get a big turbo like the one he has and run no bov. bigger turbos take longer to slow down because of mass of the compressor and turbine wheels which is why they flutter slower and deeper like that, i think td06 20g turbos make the same sound or it might be the 25g

Since everyone seems to think BOV's are t3h gay and compressor surge is FTW...

Uh you do realise BOV's help reduce turbo lag by keeping the turbo spinning in one direction right? Think about it. The throttle plate closes forcing the air the turbo sucked in to go backwards through the intake system. Instead of pushing open the BOV and escaping it causes the turbo to flow backwards so it can exit. Now the turbo has to spool again.
