Need Some Help On Paint For My Car

k here is the deal i been Debating on what color RED should i get my car painted its all ready in the body shop been there for like 2 weeks now and next week paint will be going on ...
Howevere im still debating on what red maybe u guys can give me suggestions or have pix of 240's with those paint jobs .. i dont know its worth a try ..
k i seen a 2007 corvette on the fwy i thought that red was nice however its not the dark red its more of a brighter red with like gliter type of thing.. and cant seem to find the color code .. i went to the dealere all they have is the dark one ..
not this dark one

also there is the Lexus is350 2007 red and 2007 ALtima red there all nice colcors ..
but anyways any suggestions help? color codes will be helpfull ..

the red on the rx8 is nice, tooo, i think you have a lot of options. so just put the colors in a hat and draw one and paint it, cause i think they will all look good.

I always liked the red from the last generation mustang (the generation before these brand new ones).

I think the color is called "watermelon red." Its a very bright red, if anyone has a picture post it up.

M3 Imola red,M3's always have crazy colors that change in the light setting theyre in.. this color can look really dark at times and when the sun is hitting it the color pops.. its a really deep red paint. I've always wanted to do this color or phoenix yellow.

the reason y it looks bright in some angles and dark in other is from what they call FLOP its the way the light hits the pearl in the paint and reflects the color back out .

if u pick a oem color from any manufacturer u can have ur paint guy look it up in a ppg color code book . if they cant find the code for god knows y . pm me a pick of the color and ill pm u back with the oem or ppg cc #

to get a nice color with red, if you want metallic look, i've been told to spray silver base then red pearl.
then clear.

yu shouldnt be picking paint colors by pictures. they never look the same irl
go around to some dealerships (BMW, mercedes, ferrari, ect) and look at the colors. see how they look in the sun/shade, find out what color the pearl is, ect

you're correct. red pigment is the most expensive, because its the hardest to produce.


and paints will always look different in the sun. I'd recommend going to a body shop, and taking a look through their books, if you come across something you may be intrested it, take it outside...see how it looks.

those 240's you posted at the bottom of your first post were the best IMO
