Here is the easiest way to remove a motor from a 240sx.

Put car on 4 stands (not the cheap-o foot high stands...get the nice big ones that raise the car about 2 feet or so).  Disconnect all hoses, wiring, exhaust pipe, radiator, intake pipe.  Disconnect the steering tie rods at the knuckle and the lower ball joint on the control arm.  Remove TC rods.  Remove Shifer inside the car.

Connect engine lift to the top of the motor.  Remove 4 bolts on the lower crossmember and 4 bolts on the tranny crossmember.  Lower engine onto a creeper or similar rolling device.  connect lift to the front of the body to allow the engine to slide out from under.  

I'm sure I am missing a few details but you get the picture.

Installation is reversed order.  I can remove my drive train in about 2-3 hours by myself and about 2 hours with a helper.  It can be installed in about 4 hours by one person.
