strange miss?
I have a s13 Blacktop and when I'm cruising or at little throttle once in a while it feels like someone cuts the fuel for 2 seconds and then it goes back to normal. this only happens at little throttle and sometimes when i hit a bump (again throttle position dependant). never happens under boost. its getting more frequent. like 5 times on my commute versus once a week two months ago.
I'm thinking its the TPS. Sound logical? |

check tps, injectors for clogging, maybe a new fuel filter.. i dont think it would be your fuel pump but you never know... i think youd know if it was your fuel pump tho. defin use injector cleaner stuff alot, and get a new filter.

20,000mi is a good time to change your fuel filter. And if you're not already running a 300zx fuel filter, you might want to start now.

tps could be a potential problem. coolant temp sensor could be also. it definately wouldn't hurt to do a fuel induction clean. make sure the o2 wires aren't burned and rubbing together. also could be the turbo starting to go, but that's the least likely of them all. a friend's ebay turbo when it's cold is fine, when it warms up you have to force it passed 5psi, basically when it's warm and doing that, it's not making shit for cfm so his car runs so rich it'll pop and sputter. that's why i mentioned the turbo. but a nissan t25 shouldn't do that. i think your issue is one of the above mentioned. was just explaining myself. gl man

CHeck wires going to tps for damage. Find the power and ground pins on tps ohm them out and manually change the position of the throttle. You should see smooth resistance changes. WHile you have acess to the throttle plate check for proper throttle plate movement and excess carbon buildup or debris. I would also check maf sensor, or intake box for leaks or misalighnment.
