I was on ebay and saw a wicked Silvia S13 gauge cluster with digital window km/h display...and I was wondering if the analog 240sx dashboard came pre-fabricated to use the digital pod that projects the speed onto the window?  Would I need an all new dashboard from a digital speedo, or did all dashes have them (with the analog clusters just not using that space..and covering the area with a dummy plug)?

thanks

M

From what I've heard other's say on the forums, you'd need to do some hefty electrical work to get your analog wiring to play digital. The HUD would either need a new dashboard, or a hole cut into the factory one. Most folks looking for perfomance in their cars tend to drop their HUD for and analog display, it's consistently more accurate.

you can always go to http://www.rollhard.com and pick up a Defi aftermarket HUD. they look pretty damned sweet, and do all sorts of extra functions. these seem to be pretty popular over in japan. one of them has a built in turbo timer, another one has whats basically a built in g-tech, kind of like the blitz performance meter thingy.
