Where do the US cars get the tachometer signal from?  Where do they get the speedo signal?
Is the motor supposed to sit at an angle?  I mean, the valve cover isn't level?  It looks like the whole block is leaning toward the drivers side?  I'm using the SR brackets from the block to the motor mount, and the original rubber motor mounts.  They look identical, but it's not sitting straight up.   I guess this is normal, I just didn't expect it.
Thanks,
And BTW, I torqued the flywheel bolts to 60 ft/lbs, hope thats OK?

1) Tachometer Signal - from engine harness
2) Speed sensor - Transmission sensor
3) SR motors do sit alittle slanted side ways, but not much. If your motor mounts are good, drive shaft hooks up, then I wouldn't worry too much. You'll get use to the new look soon.
4) Flywheel bolt - follow the FSM torque spec to be safe.

Tx.

I guess I need to be more specific.  Exactly where to the signals come from.  For the tach, is it the CAS plug(s), which wire color, and what is the signal (i.e., on the 360 slot h.e., or the 4-slot h.e., etc.)?  Same for the speedo, there are five sensors on the KA tranny, one for Neu., one for 5th, and one for Rev., I don't know what the other two are for, one is located at the front of the bellhousing, probably looking at the flywheel teeth (possible tach signal, right), and the other is just under the shifter (probably the speedo signal.  I need to make circuit boards to reproduce these signals electronically so that the factory gauges will work with the SR motor.  Anyone with a FSM, help.  This is what a real "tech" forum is for, right?
Thanks for the comment on the motor leaning, I won't worry about it then.
