This is one of the greatest weekends for the 240sx (besides the weekend install of the SR).

This weekend the suspension went on (KYB's and HKS SS) then the Apex'i rear strut brace then the OBX shortshifter. Great weekend all together then I went to go hit some balls at the driving range

My goal has been primarily handling lately so the go fast goodies have been put on hold.
This was all purchased by my wife for me for Christmas but since it was such nice weather this weekend she gave it to me so I could install it w/o freezing my nads off later.

Also the shifter has been popping out of 2nd gear periodically. Does it just need to break in or did I do something wrong? I followed the instructions from the install section but since my printer is down had to run back and forth from the house to see them

congrats man, I cant wait for xmas... though most the stuff I asked for was a helmet gloves and a couple other things... oh balacava and shit. I have to do all my own purchases for mods. I just tell my mom I want to be safe at the track and cant afford these things, so thats what I need/want for xmas

hahaha nice topic

Just got my girlfriend a 1990 240sx Hatchback just today and I'm hiding it at my friend's garage. Her christmas present

We went to Japan this past summer and I managed to rip out an entire Silvia front end off a car that got dumped on the side of the road/mountain and I sent her parents money to ship it over here. Quite expensive, but she likes Sil-Eighty so I hope to put all the panels before next christmas.

I hope my dad buys me some 15" Azenis for christmas he owes me some tires.

Bomex USA is like 5 min from my place so I'm going to give myself an early christmas present by buying me parts number UAD-005 (side skirts, not ugly, just right) and UAD-013 (rear under)

Hopefully I can get a bonus from my cousin (my boss) so I can ship some of the other stuff I left at Japan. I love the holidays

You bought your girlfriend a car and a sivlia front end, not your wife but girlfriend . I don't think I would ever do that, but if you buy that for your girl what do you have done to your car.

About the shifter poping out in 2nd. Went through the same thing. You just need to break it in; be firm when shifting to second after a while it should be okay.

That's cool. I hoped that is all it was and I noticed that when I shifted firmly that it didn't come out.

Thanks

Amber is entirely too good to you! Car presents AND you get them in time to install them in good weather? NOT FAIR!

Now, if only I could convince my gf that a custom fabbed Piper rollcage for my next car would be a better gift that some bling blingy watch?

Hey, Hip -
Have your gf give me a call, and I will talk some sense into her. You know the old saying, "If you can't beat them, join them"? I have finally succumbed to the depths of 240ism. (And don't tell anyone, but I actually enjoy it.)

Nrcooled -
Glad you enjoyed your day. Perfect for installations! You still have a few things coming, so the nads will be frozen for a little while. But, I think you will have fun - plus I know how to warm them up. Luv you.

nrcooled.. thats awesome man. I was completly stoked when my g/f bought me white face guages for my b-day, she's always supported me but not into buying car stuff, b/c of the lack of knowledge. She actually is a member of zilvia now, as i just found out. she reads up and tries to find things that she can buy me, thats how she learned bout the guages... but then i wrecked my car and she stopped. hopefulyl now that i'm fixing it she'll start lookign aroudn agian.
Hold onto that one nrcooled

actually I want to also propose to her this christmas. Everyone, her parents, mine, and all our friends think we should already be married since we have been living together, and doing everything a married couple should be doing anyway. She is everything to me

I just saw a new jag commercial where the Wife gives the husband a Die cast toy of this one Jag and she takes a picture... then the husband looks at it and see a BRAND new JAG in the backround, I'm hoping to try that maybe hahaha. I think it was a christmas commercial or something.

For my car, I'm getting it painted white, hopefully the suspension stuff I got from Upgarage comes, and Get some Azenis on both my new sets of rims hahaha

i saw a charge for $900 dollars on our bank account, so i think my wife might have gotten me my FMIC .. I am looking at some Suspension mods for myself, and its going to be earlier than Christmas. I am looking at Tein HE or trying to get Cusco ZERO-1. I would not mind GAB coilovers but cant find them. Either way, sus-uprgrades! Also, maybe some body mods, but that cant wait, as well as SR.
