a-tech/mb motorsports wheels? anyone have em?

i found these wheels when looking around on enjuku and was really pleased with the price, weight (same as 5zigen), and sizes. i've been searching around to find some 17x9's that'll let me run 255/40-17's all the way around without having to use spacers. the offsets are +17 (fronts) +27 (rears). anyone running these rims? or even these offsets with a 255/40-17 too?

this one ain't gonna last long...

do some searching and you'll find your answers..

for instance, theres a guy selling a set of these wheels for a reasonable price in the for sale section.

255 is a big ass tire, ask in the big ass tire thread.

What suspension are you running? I had JIC FLTa2's and the +27's rubbed on the front with 225 tires. Just use a 5mm slip on spacer and it should clear, or save yourself the trouble and run +17 all around. I'd strongly suggest against running 255's on front. Stress on the power steering, there will be clearance problems, and to be honest its pointless. Running a skinniner, grippier tire. a 255 China tire won't grip more than a 225 Falken RT615 for instance. I'm not saying go buy RT615's, I'm just saying there are other ways of finding good grip.

Um yea lots of threads about this and like n1sm0r said more info is needed. If your talking about the MB Weapons in a 17x9 +17 then you can see them in my sig, that's what I have on my 240.

If you want to buy those mb wheels. Either the weapon or competition wheels, are sold at discounttire.com

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...4790&tc=MBMWEA

They are cheaper then at enjuku and also if you look on the left hand side of the discount tire website, you get 100 dollars off if you buy 4 wheels. Makes it crazy cheap for some decent wheels.

i was planning on using RE01R's for the tires. and i was only going to use the +27 for the rear and the +17 for the fronts. but your saying i can use +17 all around and not have fender issues in the rear?

definitely go for +17 all around. you can rotate the wheels then.

if you have fender issues, which i doubt, all it takes is 5 minutes with a hammer.

you'll mostly have to roll your inner fenders. Now a pull it depends on you camber adjustments.

Also there's a shitload of people running those wheels already.

+17 is fine....

hammer in the rear fenders so it wont chunk up your tire.

i hate you jack.

It really depends on your ride height and camber. My car was really low, so I had to roll the fenders, but I was also running 235's. If you want to run 255's in the rear and don't want to deal with pulling your fenders or running camber (i.e. if you're lazy) just run +27 rear.

I had to bend the fender lip in the rear up, but no fender rolling was needed. I am running 17x9 +17 with 225/45's -3.5 camber in front and -1.5 rear. From what everyone has said on the old GB thread about them you will rub on the inside with +27. Plus if u plan on running those tire sizes they will stick out past the wheels in both directions and cause even more rubbing.

the car isn't slammed by any means, just lower than stock (1.5-2 finger gap). the car already has rolled fenders in the front and rear. my current rims are 16x8 +10 with 225/50-16 and i like them, they're basicly new. they just can't hold the road at all 1st-3rd. i'm just looking for a decent priced wheel with the right offset to run 255/40-17 all around and still be flush. thanks all

I'm running A-Tech Finalspeeds on my S14...+12 offset (15mm spacer) up front and +27 (need spacer) in the rear...I ran a 255 before I had coilovers and it fit fine, now I'm running 235s in the back and 215s up front.

I can try and grab a picture tomorrow of my brother's S14 with the 17x9 +17 Weapons and 235/40/17 tires at stock height and camber tomorrow. Clears everything fine at stock height.

i tuck tire up front on my mb weapons, 17x9 +20 (+27 with 7mm spacer) running 225/45/17, 3.5 degrees of camber. only a roll, no pull, and it scrapes off the letters on the tires. i don't think you'll be able to get away with a 255 without overs. just run some 235/40 up front. i'd also recommend getting +17 all around, +27 is sunk (imo) in the rear.
