So everyone is so crazy about upgrading to 5-lug hubs , right? Well, today when at the mall I noticed something a little odd about a Nissan Xterra it has 6 lugs!!! Talk about strength for not breaking a wheel while drifting. Well, maybe it was custom, but how many of you guys have actually seen these 6 lugs, because it is my first time seeing this. I'm not sure and might consider some of these because i'm a serious "side slider" (my own words). Comments or suggestions?

its an SUV... its a bigger vehicle. like my dads tundra. it has 6 lugs. if it was on a car it would have been a different story

here is my comment. that was one of the stupidest things i've read in a while. the reason people upgrade to 5 lugs is for wider selection of brakes and wheels. the more i re-read your post, the dumber i realize it is. but please, go ahead and try to put fucking truck hubs (and btw an xterra has a solid rear axle so gl with that) on your s-chassis.

You don't need 6 lugs... your wheels will break before your lugs do when you hit a curb "side sliding."

how is it dumb? i've seen lugs break off and heard it before... you upgrade to 5 lugs for greater strength... why not try 6lugs? Don't insult open-minded people... i'm not insulting anyone, but i'm making suggestions

you mean to tell me the whole world only considers 5 lugs for their rim selection, it's ridiculous to think that it's purely cosmetic! Why else do all modern vehicles after i believe 2000 now have 5 lugs STOCK?

most are at LEAST 6 lug...

no, people dont upgrade to 5 lug for more power. old fox body guys have ran 4 lugs in 800+hp/tq drag cars, with WIDE slicks without breaking them.
