What Size speakers are in a 97 240sx and where are they located?

Do they use and external amp from the factory?

There are two models of the '97 240sx...4 speaker models and 6 speaker models.

In the 4 speaker models, all four are 6.5" speakers.  Two of them are located on the rear deck, and the other two are in the front doors.

The 6 speaker models are similar, but come with 2 tweeters as well.  I don't know the size of the tweeters or their exact location (mine is a 4 speaker model) but I would GUESS they're located somewhere to the left and right of the windshield (either on the dash, or integrated into the support bar that runs down from the roof alongside the windshield--dunno the technical term for that, heh).

To my knowledge, neither model uses an external amp.

And yes, they do use 2 clairon amps, they are in your trunk mounted up underneth inbetween your two rear speakers.
Sorry for such a huge pic <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('> and its not working that well either.  if it doesn't come up just right click and "show picture" and it should come up.
