fuel pump question

i pprobably wouldnt use electrical tape.
reason being over time it can get all gunky and the adheasive will wear out and it will fall off and float around in your gas tank....
the tape will be submurged in gas for long periouds of time.
why not go to radio shack and pick up a solder gun for $15 and do it the right way????
