![]() like the title says. i am able to get the trim for some s13 hatch back quarter windows and want to know how much demand there is for these and how much you guys are willing to pay? instead of paying for new windows from the dealer which comes out to a grip... the trim i can get are not perfect, but very much usable. i personally am going to be using a set for my 180sx windows which did not come with any. well let me know, and if the demand is good enough then maybe ill start posting them in the for-sale thread.

The trim is bonded to the glass. If you're selling used trim, it's been cut and stripped off old glass or taken from cars with broken glass. That requires gluing it back to the new glass and laying it down even, without the bumps/ridges from the old adhesive caking up behind it.
I'd say it's a gamble if you can guarantee it since most people won't install it properly, making it look like ass.

I was quoted 500$ per window (hatch and rear 1/4) so 1000$ total from 3 different glass shops for this baseball bat + angry girlfriend incident.
![]() I went an had a glass removal place take one off a hatch in the JY, it cost me 100$ from them, then I used polyurethane to seal it and adhere it to the stock body, took about an hour total for the rear 1/4. So for people who somehow break these windows, if you had them in the right price range, about 100-200 I'd say shipped, you would probably be able to sell them, as they are ridiculously expensive from anyone else. Nah, she paid for it...I forgot to mention the inebriated part. She only got the rear and 1/4. I bought a used hatch w/ glass from a friend for 20 bucks and spray painted it :P. So 120$ an about 2-3 hours ... but shit happens, you know?

just a thought/highjack. but does anyone know if they make or made any of these windows with out 240sx, 180sx, or 200sx made into them? i think it would make a S13 hatch very sleek with just solid black.

Back on topic, I would buy one of these seals if they look good. I purchased a replacement window and it did not include the trim around the outside, only I notice it but it bugs the shit outta me cuz its not nice and flush. Lemme see some pics of this

yes it would be used and taken from old glass, but not cut. if i cut it off then there would be no chance of useing it at all. takeing them off of broken glass is too much hastle and would probably cut my hands up. as far as gluing the seals back on, yes it would have to be glued like factory. and as far as the old adhesive cakeing up, bumps, and ridges. i dont have to remove the window to take off the trim.

It's a sticker. Remove it from the glass, flat black the backside, and reinstall the window. Done.
