The best chance of getting away with that would be to..... Go to one of those instant smog places, they just to a quick check with your exhaust. They don't even pop the hood!
This might not be the same at every place so I can't garauntee that it will work. I live in NV.... No smog check for me HAHAHHAHA  Good Luck!!!!
