well hold up. is the car in an s13 or s14. if s14, yes it'd be the f4 plug but it'd be grey/red stripe if memory serves. if it's an s13 car it'd be the orange wire that's on the brown or white dash plug just a tad above the blower motor on the passenger side.

but anyways while you're looking at your dash plug

your fuel pump signal wire on both s13 and s14 is black with a pink stripe. the ecu gives that a 5 second ground when you initially turn your key to the on position aka primes fuel to your fuel rail. then once it gets the signal from the cam angle sensor that your motor is spinning it sends it a continuous ground to run your fuel pump.

the ground signal from the ecu goes to your fuel pump relay, denoted as "egi pump" on s13. that ground completes the circuit to your fuel pump relay. the relay clicks over and then sends power to your fuel pump. on an s14 that power wire is black with a yellow stripe and may be the same if it's an s13, i forget.
