bad connections make sparks, and make heat

fix yo grounds son!

also make sure the plastic alternator grommet isn't cracked/broken. it's the little piece of plastic that separates the charge stud from the alternator housing (which is grounded to your motor by all the bracketry etc.) jiggle your charge wire.

and i concur with add more grounds. from the battery to the chassis and chassis to motor.
