Question LSD fluid ?

Hi.
i have just got my 240sx not long ago, i will say a couple months. and I am just wondering if i want to change the LSD fluid, what kind of fluid do i need? or can i change it at all?

check here, I think it has what your talking about.

If there is separate fluid for the internal LSD, then you'd have to disassemble the differential to get to that.

Yeah, Dave's walk through helped me a bunch when I changed my tranny and diff fluids last month, so check those out. As far as fluid goes, I'd have to recommend Redline MT-90. You'll probably have to go to an Automotive Performance shop to get it and you won't find it at Autozone. If you don't find it at a speed shop, just do a google search and you'll find some.

use 79w90 for the diff, i suggest redline.

http://www.myoilshop.com is where I got mine, and they give tech info on the oil and it's proper application.
I'm using 75w90 shockproof gear oil in my differential if I remember right.

Alright, I just remembered. I used the Shockproof Superlight Gear Oil which is rated at 75W90 for the diff. I thought all of the 75W90 stuff was all the same, that's why I stated it earlier. I guess I'm all right now.
