Looks clean... If you don't mind me asking, how much did the conversion set you back?? just curious, as I have a KA in my 93 s13 and eventually want to convert it to turbo.

Very nice Charlie!
It looks super clean and very OEM, I really am fond of that sort of styling. Is everything new or just hand cleaned with serious elbow grease? Cuz gosh damn sir, I want my bay to look as sharp as that! |

100% stock S13 KA24DE
SSAC BMM 370cc stock FPR (no need for an adjustable one just yet) stock S13 SMIC w/all piping stock KA24DE ECU stock pump at the moment (i'll change that out to a Z32 pump in a day or so) I have a Apexi SAFCII but i need to reinstall it since I changed out my auto harness to a manual one I have a Apexi AVCR same deal as above need to reinstall it since I changed the harness out. I have a Apexi Turbo Timer same deal as above. I have a Apexi GT Spec Exhaust however im not going to run it just yet. I should be getting a Innovative LC-1 soon also. I been using the SAFC since before most of you had your drivers license probably lol and I know from experience how to tune it although I know its not the greatest thing however for a T25 and 370cc it'll be fine, I plan on learning how to tune do my own ECU, now that this swap is out the way I can focus on that stuff. Wheres your timing control?
Don't expect to turn up the boost very high on that T25 and SMIC on a stock KA. It will go boom in no time if you do. 10psi is max on what you should run on a SMIC on a KA, trust me. |

Regarding the Dukes setup, IMHO, the reason he decided to run this particular setup was to 1/ use it as a daily driver 2/use it as a daily driver. and 3/ use it to push it around Beefed up cars that are referred to as "modified" something along the lines of this craze of KA-T's all of a sudden,Well around this forum. What no SR20/RB's coming around allowing efficient Californian (Daily Driven) development due too-(emissions, tagging-Cops or trying to find some mech-tech who'll touch it for less than the value of the chassis) I feel for all the mechs & tech's around the southern coast, but a convenient conversion completed like this kat's. .. .is fresh. its pure, and it is simple. Ummm, yeah. I think this is why he chose the KA24T. His girl prolly loves it. Nuff Said. GOod choice Duke.

Trust me im no noob to turbo cars, did this before on a USDM spec SR20DE turbo'd back in ~2000-2001 and been driving turbo cars since then and never had one blow up on me (knock on wood) and I dont ever boost a T25 past 10psi ever, if I need more power i'll buy a bigger turbo and probably go 8:5.1 on the KA. |
