how to use pressure tester

1) take out the spark plug
2) put the compression tester down where the spark plug was screwed in, and screw the tester in
3) crank the motor while someone watches the tester. The needle will stop going up at some point. May need to crank once or twice.
4) repeat for the other cylinders.

but make sure you disable your fuel and ignition systems so it's not trying to fire up while you crank it. also, alot of people have told me that you must hold the throttle plate open to get an accurate reading.

right good call, I forgot about that.

I was actually thinking in my head... what keeps the motor from starting... hmmm.

You gotta pull the fuel pump fuse, and keep cranking until the motor won't start anymore. THEN do the compression test.
