I know about the Pioneer deal. They aren't getting out of the plasma business. They are outsourcing their panels to Matsushita (Panasonic). It still remains to be seen if this means they will be able to produce the panels to Pioneers spec. But the chances are good since Panasonic is already building a factory scheduled to be open in 09'. The Pioneers coming out this summer are still full Pioneers and will not be effected by the outsourcing.

XBR4 really isn't worth the price IMO. I would get the w3000. Sharps are good for the price too.
