Exclamation Redline Time Attack season opener March 29th/30th

Season opener! Just outside LA (Bakersfield). More of a shakedown since it is the first event of the year. But it is a points event, and there will be some serious contenders at this event.

I am there w/ the air/box induct portal exposed! J/K but I am looking forward to captain K, and his T.A. S/14 =] I am disappointed they shot over CALWAY, fontucky, USA! us horse herders out here are always looking for more ways to test street cars & win for our developments. I think that would work into more productive activity between HIGH/MID level cars w, sometimes, limited street time.

wait. .. .JIC has a 3rd gen 14 coming out?

Actually, they have a new RX8, and are getting a new Evo from Mitsubishi, and the S14 was at the fabricators when i was at their office... so i did not get to see it.

I don't live in Cali, so no way.

But I'm intrigued by this JIC S14, considering that their S15 was first a drift car and it did pretty well. A purpose built car can only be faster, no?

Yes Jon K. does some pretty impressive suspension work, so i have no doub't that he will have the center roll of that car completely edited for insane tracking.

Wassup owen, this is Ken... You installed some tires for me on my red s13. The one with the dead battery. Anyways.... I wanna see your friends S chassis on the track....

BTW, I think you didn't balance one of my tires cause it has 0 weight on it.... Checked it at friends shop and it was off.....

Alright, Yeah, I am familiar with the 8 & the not so much care about the evo (still interested?) as there are a plenum of mitsu AWD auto T.A'n it up around here. I am familiar with AMS, I do look at them from time to time regarding the unlimited class, they ran well against others at Caliway back in early early 07.

my anticipation honestly, is this JIC 911. I feel that should be a complete T.A auto over drift, but I fully comprehend why this car is on the Drift circuit as well.

I would love to drive the car, but I would need to bring my own seat to transfer!

Kognition, best regards out there, what tires will you be implementing for this season.
I'm working on getting streets on the schedule board.

April 18th 20th Redline Time Attack St. Louis Mo.

By the way, for anyone in the Mid Western area of the country, we have an April vent at Gateway International Raceway. And we will need event volunteers, so please let me know if you are interested. Redline staff will be flying out, but the rest of us will be trailering into town. This event is in conjunction with NOPI Drift. So it will definitely be packed with entertainment.
http://redlinetimeattack.com/index_gateway.htm
I will post a digital flyer in a separate thread shortly.

Hey Chris,
Yep if they can hold a heavy car down like the 350Z then they are good enough for our cars.

I know the feeling. I won't have the extra money until next month for the Toyos. And that's stretching it since i have to trailer to Mo. next month.

Question Ap1...

I'll be there on the 29th.

All this team talk is making me wonder whether or not this event will be for weekend warriors like me. Seems like all these teams will be running the track event.

How many 'normal' guys will attend and run their cars on Saturday?

EDIT: Are any of you guys renting garages?

Not to worry
Teams are typically in the unlimited class with a few exceptions in modified. I say teams which can mean anything from me, my dog and a friend... to Chris Rado , AMS, Harman Motive or JIC. It's FULL of regular guys.

I was going to show up regardless and if I had to steal an apex or two, or three, from the JIC S14 or the Mines R35... well, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Anyhow, I'm real excited and can't wait to get out there.

I wonder if there any garages left as the folks at Buttonwillow have not returned my call.

I think you need to email Chris or Nikolas on the garages. I believe you reserve a garage when you register online for the event. ButtonWillow does not handle garage details to my knowledge. They don't have alot of garages there, it's kindof country out thar.

Well not entirely. They have show cars from all makes and models.

I just hope they put those cars on the North side of the track so people that are walking around won't crowd the driveways.

Well, theres my S14 pictured in my sig, and the S15 registered could be a white one that was at Laguna Seca last Nov.. not sure. JIC S14 i have not seen yet. I am excited to see a S2000 finally in unlimited. I am sure Tyler will do well with this super light car.
