I always thread them on a few turns by hand, then turn them on with the impact. That goes without saying.

It's the removal that counts - after they've been properly torqued, and driven around for a while, I like to be able to jack the car up and take the impact gun and pull them straight off, without needing to use a breaker bar before jacking the car up.

Impact = the devil.

But any of the steel lug nuts should be fine, acorn, tuner, whatever style you choose, just know if you use a key with the nuts the impact will ruin it. Aluminum of any kind is too soft for even a little impact use IMO.

Yup

Impact saves time sure...but eh, like maybe a minute or two

I think better to just do it the old fashioned way with hand + torque wrench if you want aluminum
