grinding only when shifting 4th to 5th

how serious is it right now that they put in DEXRON (ATF?) fluid in my car... should i hold off on driving it until i can find a shop that will put in royal purple gear oil

if they put ATF in your manual tranny...you shouldnt drive the car at all PERIOD...ATF isnt meant to go in a manual tranny...its a totally different make up than gear oil is

i would recommend you immediately drain your tranny and fill it up with gear oil...drive it around for about 20 min...drain it again to make sure you get ALL the ATF out of it...then fill it back up with either redline gear oil or royal purple
