I saw that too, I dont think thats definitely answers the question though. From monitoring the would be IAT sensor input it seems to be just returning floating or not connected voltage. That led be to believe even if there is no pin on the ECU to the harness there maybe a pin inside on the microprocessor I/O.
I am pretty sure the IAT dependant functions itself works though, since if you enter the AFR corrections for IAT the car does runs richer/leaner.
