was there water in those lines? if so, i hope the water didn't do any damage to the house...

but this is what the world has come to...people breaking in houses to steal piping and drilling holes in fuel tanks.

reminds me of a case where people stole railways and sold the steel to make some $$

only 1976 and before pennies are copper, newer ones are copper mixed with zinc or some other metal (i forget) the govt did that because they were scared ppl were gonna melt down pennies. Also, copper is at over 3 bucks a pound now, my buddy is stripping wiring so he can make money for his hawaiin summer vacation lol...

copper brings like $3.50 or so per lb. and yea it costs like 6 or 7 cents to make a penny.

basement was flooded. well, kind of. there's a garage door on the basement so it couldn't like, fill the place... but yeah, no damage, just a big fucking mess and some extra work. they only stole the piping out of the basement, they didn't work their way upstairs.
