KA Low 13s in A KA-T

Hello,
I am In the process of building a KA-T single cam motor, and I have several questions:
1.)What hp level do I need to hit to run in the 13.4-13.1 range?
2.)How hard is it to pass (tailpipe only ) emissions with a standalone?
3.) How likely am I to blow up my motor if I've never tuned a standalone before?
This and any other insights on turboing the single cam motor would be appreciated.
Thank You,
Travis

Probably 250rwhp and a good launch should get the low-mid 13s.
It depends on how it's tuned, and if it's a cold start or not. Put another catalytic convertor on your car before testing if you're that worried.
Yup. That's why dyno shops exist. That's also why they charge a lot of money. Cuz they don't (or at least shouldn't) blow motors tuning stand-alones.

As far as insight... search and goto my website below. There is some install (of ka24de) turbo pics, and a writeup.

as far as insights: the only high HP single cam KA turbo I've heard of had major overheating problems at the start... not sure if it's a block, head, or general cooling system design that causes it. he (Adam Hutchinson on FA) runs a fluidyne radiator now, though.

To pass emissions, I heard, if you have some way to adjust fuel, you can lean it out for a few seconds to pass(kinda risky). KA-T should be easy in the low 13s, ever seen SDS SOHC KA-T, 13.06 on street tires, no LSD, no internals @ around 10 PSI.
