Well it would idle fine for the most part. I'm pretty sure all the coil packs work its just under load one of them can't keep up. If I were to unplug the coil packs one by one I'm almost sure there would be a change for each.

You'd be surprised how well the engine "seems" to idle even on 3 cylinders, I thought mine was working totally fine. It was hovering around the right RPM going up and down very slightly... once the bad coil packs were replaced, it was idling rock steady.

just saying it would take less than 5 minutes to find the bad coil pack. or at least give it a try, could save you some money replacing 1 rather than all.

Sounds convincing enough, right now I'm using my friends coil packs (his engine is currently down) when I buy my own I'll have to see which of mine are not functioning. Thanks for the reply.

if its only one cylinder and you know wich one you could switch the coil packs to make sure its the packs

what if your misfiring after u release the gas pedal at around 5k
