Nobody has any proof that underdrive pulley's will destroy crank bearing (i think thats what supposedly go's bad) Out of the masses of people with UD pulley's most have a good view of them and I can't think of one case of a engine needing rebuilt cause of a UD pulley causing damage. I have no doubt that it is not the "safest" upgrade but  it is a negliable (spelling?) risk.
