Its actually very easy, I did it myself on jackstands in my garage.
Remove the center console and shift boot and shift knob, and remove the C clip that holds the shifter in.
Remove the electrical connections below the car, remove the crossmember (2 bolts), stick a big screwdriver or something in the driveshaft to keep it from turning and unbolt it from the rear differential. Pull it out of the tranny, the fluid will drain out.
Support the engine block and transmission with jacks.
lower the back of the engine to allow for clearance, un bolt all the bolts around the tranmission, go into the engine bay and un bolt the starter, use a real big prybar and a friend to get the tranmission off the back of the engine. then just undo the bolts (there are several) and take the clutch off. They say you have to press the throwout bearing in but I just used a socket the same size as the bearing shaft and we tapped it in place with a mallet. Grease it all up after you change parts, and install it back in the reverse order. Replace the slave cylinder too, and bleed the clutch. Fill the transmission back up, and you are good to go.
