Car just got here from Japan. Been sitting for a while

Won't Rev past 3k sometimes. If you turn the engine off it'll be fine for a bit then do it right away again.
Give it half throttle and it just stumbles and bucks bad.

Replaced old dirty JDM fuel filter. It was fine for a while then started again. New spark plugs, tested coils and changed MAF to a known working one. Still doess it.

Motor is S13 Redtop.

Any input helps.

try checking all vacuum lines and hoses, (look for faulty connections or crappy hoses that may be cracked) MAF sensor, may be dirty or maybe not connected good enough) and even loose couplers on intercooler piping, (boost leaks).. sometimes its the dumbest and easiest fixes that get overlooked.

did you mess with the tps at all? sounds like some symptoms of a tps problem. try cleaning out the iacv thing or what ever its called on the back of the intake manifold.

We think we figured it out. It was stored in japan for a while with no gas in the tank. A bunch of crap built up on the tank and clogged the pickup on the pump.

So the tank is out and getting cleaned right now. Hoping that it'll fix the problem.
