6in / 6out stock setup
that list,
Quote:
Stock sr set up, t25, aftermarket mani, z32 fuel filter, 255 walbro
Has no effect on s-afc setup
If you have 370's? zero the high and lo. If you have a wideband? concentrate on tuning your lo setting for gas mileage. Setting the high will be the easiest.

I also used 3.5bar fuel pressure. on S-AFC Blue HTH

i have a question about the neo, dont mean to steal the thread,
i have a 240sx with a sr20de+t, i have a stock maf right now, can i use a z32 maf without tuning the ecu? as long as i wire the maf in right?

yes, i believe so, a friends car has basic sr + z32 maf, and nothing else, the afc would work he said when it comes to anything else, like injectors or turbo or anything drastic, go get tuned or blow up your engine but im sure getting it tuned would only do good

i dont see why not, sr20de, z32 maf, hopefully you can figure out the wires from the neo to the ecu, theres not that many wires to splice, hope someone can answer it definitively, because i dont really know... one way to bypass the maf is if you can find that apex power fc djetro or whatever its called, more expensive but from what i heard, its alot better than the afc, the one that doesnt need maf and uses a map instead

S-AFC is a piece of shit/trash . The faster people figure this out the sooner people will stop blowing pistons, overheating exhaust manifolds (cracking) and cluster fucking their timing map cell placement on their ecus. How do i know this? I used to own one of those herpes boxes.

all i know is the afc only tunes the fuel maps to a certain degree, you need the whole shabangabang with standalones, which costs moolah, but everything is tunable

yea if ur looking for like 600 hp, you can get along on bigger injectors and run piggyback fuel quite a bit, standalone is a god damn nightmare compared to the neo

also i was wondering this, how does the neo kno how much fuel to dump if it doesnt know my injector size, whats to stop it from spraying the same pulse duration and width with a 370cc injector as it does with a 1000cc injector? is this where those 16 points of tuning at every 500rpms comes into play,?

power fc is a great compromise, it is an ecu with maps for fuel and timing, nothing as fancy as the other standalones with much more tunability. i believe you can find those info in the actual manuals? the afc just goes by what is standard, so if you have 370, it assumes you have 370, so if you double it, you change the map by half, or something to that affect... i could be wrong, i was curious too, but i was researching this too... im probably wrong, so i personally would just go get it tuned if i were changing injectors size or any major upgrades...

Cause it fakes out the ECU to increase/decrease fuel. Unfortunately most ecus adjust ignition timing too. At the least this makes the timing retarded and raises the EGTs sky high. Melting/cracking exhaust components. Wost case it advances to the point of detonation.

You can only trim upto 50%. So, the biggest injectors you could run is 555cc on a SR that uses 370cc stock.

that is the limit, really cant explain it any other way, you can put increments throughout the rpm range, but it only goes up to 50% up or down, but thats it, so if stock is 370, then 50% on top of that is 555, just like he said, thats why afc is good up to a certain amount, after that, go get something better. better piggy back is emanage. better than that would be standalone, power fc is good for basic standalone. better than that costs a lot but a lot more features, more than i know. obviously i dont know that much, its just from my research and what friends tell me, haha
