Capping Evap TB lines, loss of mpg/resonse?
So I pulled my EVAP canister, and capped the 2 TB lines. Now I seem to be having a loss of throttle response. Do these lines need to be open for the EGR valve? It almost seems as if the Knock sensor has pulled timing.

Never leave any vacuum line open to atmosphere. Either plumb them to an accessory or plug them up.
You're not asking the right question but I'll answer any way. Check your vacuum plugs and make sure they're airtight. Check both the port on the TB and the EVAP solenoid. The EVAP solenoid can be removed and follow the vacuum line to the source and plug. Then take the fuel tank vent line, unplug that line from the canister, and leave that line open to vent. If you still have problems after that put everything back together and see if your problem goes away. If not then the EVAP isn't causing the problem. |

Lol yeah... you need to cap those. It's a bigger problem on SR's, because most people that get engines/swap them themselves don't cap 'em, and then wonder why they have shitty idle and sputtering/dying.
Anyhow, yeah, g6 covered it ![]()
