Question Dash repairs

My dash had 3 cracks and I filled them with Black Silicone.........the gasket kind. Now it is always sticky. How can I remove the silicone and what is the best way to fill the cracks? Or is there something I can coat over the dash in one layer? I heard SEM Weld was good for the cracks---maybe I can clean out the silicone & use SEM. What is best?

You could always buy an un-cracked dash

Or you could get one of these 88-93 Nissan 240SX 10-890

As far as fixing them, I can't be of much help to you there

i dont think thers anything you can just fill the cracks with. well atleast nothing that would make it look right. youd still be able to see/feel the cracks in the light.

just get a dash mat. hahaha

Best way is to buy a new dash.

If you dont wanna do that....

You can fiberglass it, but that ALSO requires removing the dash.

There are lots of people who do this type of repair. A while back my wifes car was broken into and they put a small hole in the dash. The inshurance company had some guy come out and fix it. Took like ten minutes and it looked perfect. I wish I got his card, but it was a while back.
Maybe check with body shops or upolstery shops to see if they recomend someone.
