Best ride quality / Performance springs for my KYB AGX's - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Spent about 1-2 hours searching on this specific question, found lots of info but not specific to what im looking for....

I am looking springs to fit onto my KYB AGX's, and offer the best ride quality + performance. I am not too concerned with how low they go. Could anyone make and recommendations base on experience / or knowledge? Or what type of compressed spring I should get talored for performance / ride quality.

Right now I have a set of brand new sportlines installed for about a week now, but only put about 130 miles on them (car not daily driven) and would be willing to trade them / sale if anyones interested.....

You don't like the sportlines? I'd heard that eibachs were some of the best for comfort/handling together, but keep in mind the fact that you may be seeking a happy medium that doesn't exist. Maybe the pro kits are a little softer spring if that is what you seek. I have gold line springs and AGXs personally (I hate the look of yellow and red under my car, looks like a damn circus), but I don't mind a harsher ride enough to have a real opinion on it. You CAN, however, get ground control coilovers made to your specifications and they still aren't a very expensive set, if I remember it correctly...

Eibach Pro-Kits have a very smooth ride in the S14. They feel like they could be stock. They're not very performance-oriented though, the spring rates are very front-stiff... understeer!

Tein S-Tech or Whiteline will be the most balanced/performance oriented. The Teins are stiffer than the Whitelines, though, so of those two the Whitelines would probably be best for your needs.

I'm planning on matching KYB AGXs with whitelines...I believe Don at PDM sells them both... http://www.pdm-racing.com/

if you're afraid of understeer, you can add a rear anti-sway bar to the rear to get rid of some of it, or perhaps allow it to give you a little more oversteer.

the whiteline adjustable anti-sways are good for that.

Try the Suspension Techniques.. that's what i have on my AGX's.. I love them, smooth stock-like ride until you push them on corners and they bite in. I'm just waiting to compliment them with ST swaybars.

I'd also recommend checking into H&R Sports. I'm running them with GAB shocks and they're very streetable.

im running H&R's with my agx's, work very well, and are good on street.
