If your talking about the VQ25 is not stateside legal so why bother. Though I do not believe the VQ25 was ever offered in a Stagea now the RB25DET was.
We have both VQ30's and VQ35's that can be made stateside legal so no sense going down to 25.
Granted I have yet to see someone make a completely legal stateside VQ swap but that to shall change

Its a turbocharged factory motor for the stagia and most of them are AWD looking for a project for a 350z later, issue is cheap but finding the stagia that has the Vq25DET is few and far between. just want the turbo parts and the intake manifold that is used on it.

Still you make a good point, this set up isnt for resale to the public or selling swaps to the public.....................

the VQ25DET has a lot of improvements and its a high-rev turbo motor so should provide for some fun.................. and with an auto set up.

+1. 98% of them are VQ25DD motors non turbo the VQ25DET are the stuff to have a lot of fun with, hotter cam and the VQ35HR plenum. its a dual throttle body with a single turbo. Not to mention its a factory turbo. There is one shop in japan that has ROM tune / turbo + injector upgrade. they say 360hp flywheel hp when done. now that is what I want to do with another car project later.

Why were exhaust tickets started?
I want an expert like you to tell me and explain the origin how it all got started and where and what time it was started..

This shit is a disease
So you want to tell the people who are dieing of cancer and smog related diseases its ok to pollute ?

and it WILL spread to your area.
what about rectal cancer ?

You might as well get ahead of the game and wise up to emissions legal swaps

That is an art that is dieing out and that

The advantage you will have is that you will get to benefit from the fruit of the cali guys labor.

out here and by the time it gets to you we will have already found the solution.
Yeah its called leave it stock..................

Quote:
I mean look at how many, and how cheap, sr's and sr cars are being sold out of cali right now
.
The market segment has changed and people want a car that is fun fast and legal, so a lot of people have moved on to cars that are ligit and come with a warranty. you think guys who bought a brand new skyline GT-R are going to drop another $50,000 to cut 1 second off the 0-60 time. NO they are not.
People who want an SR powered S13 is a segment that has completely changed and the market that is different.

Quote:
This is not a coincidence; it is directly related to the stricter smog laws. EVERYBODY needs to start caring about emissions legal swaps because soon enough we will all be in the same boat.
I think you are throwing darts at the wrong target. Let you figure it out. Time is money.

WTF is your fucking problem? That post was not directed towards you in ANY way at all! It was directed towards the people scoffing at the idea of smog legal engine swaps. The CARB and engine swap laws are bullshit because they have absolutely nothing to do with emissions AT ALL, they are about money and nothing more. The whole "disease" thing was only used to get my point across that the laws will not stop spreading. As far as I have seen you are not even qualified to wipe your own ass without mommy's help so I really don't know where you get off telling me about how wrong I am about smog laws and carb legal swaps.

Yes, yes it was. you replied in the thread and started a hijack and in many words took it off topic. Did I ask if it was smog legal ? no

Again, smog is not the issue, and I think you better chill out before you either

Again completely out of scope of the regluatorys law and its objective and you clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

b-certain people with chips on shoulders.

You came to a public fourm and put your 2 cents in and you will get you're moneys worth.

Really, because the only post that took the thread significantly off topic that I saw was your response to my post.

You live in cali, smog is DEFINITELY an issue, but I guess you are either too inept or too young to read the writing on the wall.

If you are soo smart then educate me rather than posting sarcastic useless crap. I have been doing this for much longer than you have, I have seen and done more than you have, so unless you have an actual argument you have no business telling me about anything.

Quote:

YOU come off as having a chip on your shoulder because you atacked my post for no reason. Maybe you are pissed at me for something I did to you in the past, whatever.

I totally agree with you here.

Quote:

This is nothing but a pathetic attempt to get a rise out of me and it didn't work. Apparently my statement about how un-qualified you are to tell people how wrong they are about things that you have no experience with did work though.

Quote:

Actually this is a private forum, not public. If you don't want people to put in their .02 then don't post, it is that simple.

So suggesting a cheaper and probably smog legal alternative is not valuble input then. You live in so-cal, you of all people should be able to appreciate the value of a carb legal swap.

And I am the one with a chip on my shoulder huh? You attacked my post just to piss me off and eagerly awaited my reply, sounds like a pretty big chip you got there.
