Aside from letting more air through quicker, K&N filters, and others like them will last a loooong time.
$50 for a filter that last several years is actually more economical than buying a dozen or more of those paper filters for $10 over the same amount of time.
I put a k&n in my old car, just so i wouldn't have to buy a new paper filter every 6 months.
