timing chain on ke24de noisy?

I just got my twin cam 91 240sx, I found out there are some noise from timing chain!
Is that really hard and expensive to fix the noise?
Should I fix it or just drive like this and go for Sr20 when it's die??
Will the timing chain noisy effect the performance of the car or reliability?
Seriously need advice~
Any help will be really nice...
Thanks~
