Or get a rotary powered car. When a cop pulls me over and I always get the, wait here, I'm going to call a specialist. Then when he comes, he goes rotary eh? Here is an exhaust ticket - no other ticket yet (*knock on wood). - Flames shooting out doesn't help with the, it an oem exhaust.

I do not think cat backs are illegal as they have nothing to do with emission, only noise reduction. The cat is what help with emission, anything after that would only affect noise level. Think of all the midas/magnaflow/flowmaster/aftermarket exhaust out there.

If they were truely illegal and I was a cop trying to make money. I'll just walk around n probably give like 2 out of 5 cars a ticket.

Long story short. Get a daily driver thats not an S chassis. Then you can build your S chassis any way you want and beat the shit out of it on the track whenever you want. Stay off their radar if you dont want to be fucked with.

Yeah a friend got a 55 in a 45 on ac too, thi swas like right before it changes to 55, the friggin dumbest ticket... The guy was a ticket nazi too, made him pop the hood even though the car was all stock, save for a quiet catback (s13). Then was like "you're a good boy for not modifying this intake". ...........

Yeah at least the CHP guy that pulled me over didnt bother popping the hood. He cooled off when I showed him military ID and told him I was just killing time before heading to OCS in a month. Then he just gave me a pep talk and sent me on my way. As long as you are courteous and havent done something completely bananas, they are usually nice enough back.

DD helps you not have to deal with cops. But when they do pull you over, they should have nothing on you. Unless you deserve a ticket for whatever.

I was pulled over infront of my house while driving home in my e500.

Cop couldn't do anything because I had/did nothing illegal.

I've had a fc and that isn't the case. They know their stuff also. Though you can run a better turbo and fly under their radar easily.

I only shot flames when I am on it. If you're driving normal, no flames should be coming out.

The way the law is written, a cop COULD ticket any car with an exhaust made by a muffler shop or performance shop. They just don't. They use it as a reason to pop your hood for the most part.

Yeah, I've known a few people who got out of tickets due to being in the armed forces.
