Abs

If I was to ditch ABS would I just have to find some non abs 240sx and use those lines to replace the ones that lead to the unit? Give me some feedback on what I could do.

Keep ABS - flatspotted tires suck. You can still threshold brake with ABS, it's more of a "cover your ass" in case you hit a bump or something and lock the tires up.

you have to add a splitter to the front brake line or get a non ABS MC, which shouldn't be that hard, because it already has two front line ports.

or you could do like Def said and leave it.

I just got rid of my ABS. easy as pie. Get non ABS hardlines and a non-ABS BMC, and just swap everything out. Took all of 10 minutes.

Did you find the hardlines/master cylinder at a local wreckers or brand new? Price wise how much did it cost.

Buddy had the S13 BMC - $60.
Another buddy had the hardlines - $60
Then I bought a Z32 BMC - $95.

These are all RHD parts, so they were harder to find and more expensive, but generally it cost $150

You could just unplug it. That's what I did. Only problem is the abs light stays on.

My ABS was f'd up though so that's why I did it.

you could... however its nice to remove the heavy ABS unit and free up space in the engine bay. makes for a cleaner look in addition to weight reduction.

I'd like to see you tap the brakes when you are going to drive up the ass of some elderly guy who just pulled out in front of you. I laugh when I think back to driver's ed, when they tell you to "tap the brakes in a panic situation if you don't have ABS." Its just not something you think to do in a split second situation.

its how you are connected to the vehicle you are driving. you either know what to do or you dont. it happens naturally or it doesnt. ive had cars with ABS and no ABS and subconsciously performed the right operation.
