Check Oil light is on

Lately I've been noticing that everytime i get into the car to go to school in the morning. The oil light would stay on a bit longer then it suppose to. THere is also clicking noises coming from the engine, but after like 2-5 seconds all the noises and light would go away. It would run like its normal. Another question where is the ideal rpm suppose to be at? at 900 or 1300-1500 because my ranges from there. When the car ideal at 900rmp it seems to run alot smoother then when its 1300-1500rmp

I think the logical thing to do here is check your oil level, and add as necessary. If it's full, then you may have a more serious problem at hand...

Oil light comes on at 4psi or lower. Lower limit I think is 9psi. Oil light being on a lot = messed up engine. Or, hopefully the oil pressure sensor is broken and his oil is fine....

If your oil level is fine, you might want to look into replacing the oil pressure sensor. I just bought one which cost 15 bucks. If it still is giving you problems it could be a problem with the oil pump. But, you said you also hear clicking and I don't know about that. I used to have a clicking problem until i took off the upper two chain guides.

EDIT: I'm not sure about the idle on an SR but for the KA it should be 700 rpms after warming up. I'm assuming they're probably the same.

Well, if your oil level is ok, and your pressure sensor/switch seems ok, then your oil pump might be shot. It wouldn't be the first time.

I already did all the obviouse things you can do. Like change your oil and the the oil level as well. It was last year i think it just came up for no odd reason, and i thought it might go away but i guess not. Im not have any big problems with it, nothing seems to be wrong.
*FOR YOU DUFFMAN Let me get this striaght to you, I believe when i bought my car it had a KA24E. After about a 2 month period I had My buddy drop the SR in and did all the wiring I just kinda watched because i didn't know how to do it. But everything else i know how to do. Do you think an intake, fmic, exhaust, downpipe, and stright pipe is that hard to install? On a scale 1-10 1 being easy 10 being hard i give it a 1 its like a walk in a park. The fuel pump is the only thing i had a hard time with because it took me a well to take off the lines.
