i dont know why you guys feel bad for her.

its easy as hell to end a life, even easier to end your own.

if this person really wanted to die. TRULY wanted to die, they would do it. simple as that. this is america. anyone can own a gun. hell even without a gun i could think of TONS of things that can kill you. extreme blood loss is not a fast killer, and more often than not what she's doing wont make her loose enough ANYWAY.

someone who takes the time and effort to take pictures of it and post it online doesnt seem like someone who wants to kill themselves.

they are either doing this for attention; a cry for help. which is most often the case.

or they are into some really extreme body modification. bmezine comes to mind.

either way YES. this person does need some help. its pretty damn clear somethings wrong in her life where she feels this is the right outlet for her pain.

usually gross shit doesnt make my stomache churn but seeing her cut to the bone, ugh.

great analysis and well put. yes, killing yourself is a lot different from going all out do such extensive body mods, and taking so much pics of the gore, AND then posting it on the internet.

but otherwise, I just see this as an example of how amazing the human body is in termns of coping with physical abuse. the damage done is obvious, but it's also likeley that this person isn't a doctor, and yet no infections of any sort. no fainting from such drastic loss of blood. it just never ceases to amaze me what the human body is capable of in some ways. which makes it all the more distasteful that someone like this would go out of their way to disfigure in themselves like this.

I think the worst damage isn't so much what these people do to themselves. It's their own body, and they're entitled to do what they want with themselves. However, posting it on the internet doesn't set such a good precedent. You get either young kids who think this is cool, and aspire to the same without thinking through, or you get other masochists who try to outdo each other and post more junk on the internet. I wouldn't be surprised if people began decapitating themselves or worse.
