S15 T28 Oil Drain dont line up!!!

I bought a brand new oil drain tube for my t28 from ebay, its the same thing as the one on frsport. It doesnt line up with my t28. Heres how basd it is. I egged out my stock t25 one for my old t28, but this one isnt big enough to do that. I tested it on a t25, and its too small, I tested it on my s14 sr and it did fit fine. So it doesnt make sense it doesn fit on an s15 turbo. Do you have to buy it specific for an s15? WTF is up with this.

yes. The t25 one doesnt fit.

You will need to either mod it, or purchase a s15 one.

You only put teflon on the pipe thread going into the turbo. AN is designed so you don't have to put teflon on there. You're setup is more likely to leak that way.

Don't give advice unless you know what you're talking about - the thread going into the turbo on the water jacket is M14x1.5mm - NOT a pipe thread, or even the same type of thread.

Teflon belongs on NO part of the turbo plumbing setup. They are all parallel threads, and the sealing is not done by the threads. AN fittings seal on the 37 degree flare, not on the threads. Putting teflon tape on any of them is a joke...

yes it can, take it off.

Back on topic. As far as it being an S15 one...are you positive? It looks brand spankin new, but double check with who you got it from, maybe something got screwed up along the way. Show them the pics of it not lining up and maybe they'll help you out (like sending you a new one that will fit.)

Yes it can, and it looks stupid to top it off.

An S13 oil drain fits just fine on an S15 T28/GT2560R whatever you want to call it. You just have to elongate the mounting holes slightly.

If the S15 oil drain tube doesn't fit on the turbo, then your turbo is not a true Garrett ball bearing center T28 unit.

My S15 oil drain tube bolted up to my HKS turbo fine, it just ended up pointing in the wrong direction for me to put the rubber hose on it, so I ended up using the T25 oil drain tube on there, with the 2 holes elongated of course.

So my take on this is that, your turbo itself seems to be the culprit.

Since you mentioned eBay and refuse to listen to people's advice about NOT USING TEFLON TAPE ON AN FITTINGS, I can only assume you bought your turbo off eBay and got something that's not a real Garrett ball bearing T28.
