SAFC Z32 MAF Issues
Plugged my z32 MAF in, and mayhave looked at the plug diagram upside down (Doubt it, followed the instructions to a "T") and when I turned the key to ACC-ON, the ECU smelled like it was burning, so I cut the power.
I unplugged the MAF and tried cranking the engine over, and it wil not start. I do not have a mulimeter handy, so I dont know if I killed the SR's ECU. I was planning on a JWT chip anyways (And trashing the SAFC2), but is there a chance my ECU is salvageable or unharmed? Anyone knowdgeable in the central / NE Kansas area want to sneak a peek, that would be appriceated. |

Sorry to say this, but if it smoked or smelled burned...its dead!!! not to say you can't fix it, but it wouldn't be worth it...you're better off buying another one. Good luck!

Yeay JWT here I go. Stupid upside-down connectors making me double think myself. I'll wire it proper this time and get the right chip. Hope I killed the SAFC2 as well.
Thanks Tom |
